THE LIBERATING POWER OF THE TRUTH
Dearly beloved, what we don’t know always create fear and uncertainly within us and fear has torment (See 1 John 4:18). But what we know, gives us confidence (See 1 John 5:14; Philippians 1:6), confidence makes us secure, gives us peace and liberty. Just as I said under the delivering power of the truth, that Satan takes pleasures in seeing God’s children in bondages, afflictions, confusions, and others, even so Jesus Christ takes pleasure in seeing anybody both the righteous and the sinners liberated from dying the second death.
God’s pleasure is our liberty from any of Satan’s manacles, because our liberty can give us greater focus in serving God, praising Him, and worshipping Him. But if we are in bondage none of these can we do and God will hardly be our focal point rather our confusions will take away our hearts as humans. It would have been a shame if God’s Son was in this world and people never see deliverance and never find liberty from the curses of the law, sicknesses, diseases, afflictions, and others in His days on earth. Some said He is a prophet, and others said He is Christ, but He was more than the former and true of the latter. No prophet in the Bible makes the blind sees, the deaf hear, the lame walk, the dumb speak, the poor hear the good news, the dead live again, and sicknesses flee at their voices (See Luke 7:22).
JESUS CHRIST MORE THAN A PROPHET
Dearly beloved, but from all we have read from the scripture, Jesus Christ is not a prophet, but God’s Son Angel Gabriel told Mary, “He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest…”–Luke:1:32. He never told Mary, He is a Prophet, even though Moses used the word Prophet to described His coming to the world. Jesus Christ did what no Prophet has done. Anywhere Jesus Christ went, He was doing good in healing, delivering, casting out demons, and others. He liberated people like never the world has ever seen or known. Wherever Jesus Christ is, liberty from one problem after another becomes the order of the day. “Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.”—2 Corinthians 3:17. In many crusades organised in any part of the world, Christ Mark His presence by many unbelievable miracles because He loves to see people free. The liberating power of the truth gives us earthly and eternal liberty from the enslaving power of darkness.
It’s written, “For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.”—Romans 8:2. What a liberty! “And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”—John 8:32. And “If the son (of God) therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.”—John 8:36. The truth alone has the power to set at liberty any man, He has the power to also reveal the secret and deep things to us, and also have power to deliver us from any confusion. This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptation, and the truth shall make you free. Amen.
THE ENLIGHTENING POWER OF THE TRUTH
Dearly beloved, it’s written, “The people that walked in darkness have seen a great light; they that dwell in the land of the shadow of death, upon them hath the light shined.”—Isaiah 9:2. Jesus Christ as you know is the truth, the light, the knowledge, and the word of God. And all these that represent Him enlighten the world of man individually and collectively. Christ is the great light and the light that lighten and enlighten. Not until Jesus Christ came into this world the world was in darkness spiritually, people did not know the truth about the truth (God), they were alienated from the mind of God having their understanding darkened, and people were walking in the vanity of their minds through the ignorance that is in them because of the blindness of their hearts. With the arrival of Christ into this world, upon them has the light shined.
Jesus Christ through teaching enlightened people about what they had assumed that they know, but never know Him, that is, God. Light reveal and enlighten, and only the truth has these attributes in Person and in Word. Nobody has better understanding of God’s Word until Jesus Christ came to enlightened us, that we might know God better in words and in deeds, and God’s will and thought for us. “The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints.”—Ephesians 1:18. With our eyes of understanding enlightened, we are no longer in the land of the shadow of death, because the light has shined upon us and has enlightened us. And knowing the hope of His calling, we have a blessed assurance of eternal glorious home going. Jesus Christ said, “I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.”—John 8:12.
Practically, no man can stumble in light physically and spiritually or where there is light, but everybody can stumble in darkness, no exception in this.
WHY SOME CHRISTIANS ARE STILL IN DARKNESS
Dearly beloved, the light of life is Jesus Christ and if He is in your life, you will not stumble earthly and eternally. Man need enlightenment, because darkness always gross darkened all those that are in it. And it is a shame to see and know many Christians are really not following Jesus Christ. They are following religion which is man-made, precept of men not the doctrines of Christ which is according to godliness (See 1Timothy 6:3) and also God made. They have spent many years in their churches yet they know not the truth about God, Satan, the world, mankind, what God hates and like, they can’t separate God’s will from man’s wisdom, and many Christians hate the truth, when they hear people preaching it, they will say you are judging them, but they are Church goers but enemy of Christ they called their Saviour, neither are they following Jesus Christ. Some are still in darkness because the Word of God couldn’t find a place in their hearts, and it is the only thing that can enlighten them. The world is enlighten by the gospel of Christ, but those who have been hearing it yet refusing to repent are lost and are in darkness. “But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: in whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God should shine unto them.”—2 Corinthians 4:3-4.
Christ the light of life shine in this world to enlighten our world of darkness, to guide our feet unto the path of eternal life and peace. “To give light unto them that sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace.”—Luke 1:79. Those who refused to walk in this light of life are doing so for their own eternal confusion, but God can’t be blame for your failure to receive enlightenment. The power of the truth to enlighten was displayed by the truth in words and deeds in His days on earth, the blind were enlightened because the light shined upon them to give them sight, and opened their eyes to see the world around them, and prevented them from stumbling (See Isaiah 35:5; 42:7; Acts 26:18; 1 Thessalonians 5:5).
The enlighten power of the truth is something that made us who are called by His name to know Him. No man can know the truth except this light of life shine upon him, and when that is done, he will be enlighten about the truth. The light of life is the key that open our eyes of understanding and when He open our eyes of understanding, then we are enlighten. The truth enlighten us in many ways, He enlighten us about God, about ourselves, God’s Word, and other things of life. Truly, He is the light of life every man should desire in order to avoid eternal darkness that destroys the soul. Ye shall know the truth, know Him now or never.
IN CONTINUATION
It is written in Romans 1:18, “For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness.” Be it clear unto you, as the pillar of truth (Jesus Christ), we must not support any unclean, ungodly, worldly and carnal things. We should live God’s Word practically, spiritually and physically, our light must shine for the world to see (See Matthew 5:16), not of hypocrisy but of the truth and reality. Repent from your secret sins and give your life to Jesus Christ TO RECEIVE FROM Him eternal life. Share with your friends. Shalom!
