“Apply your heart to instruction, and your ears to words of knowledge.” – PROVERBS 23:12
There comes a time when we must choose our heart’s direction, or else we will drift without meaning through life. As a college freshman, my heart drifted spiritually. But a voice whispered inside, “There’s something I want you to do.” That quiet voice soon became a roar, and in the early morning hours on a practice field at the University of Alabama, I prayed, “Lord, I give you all that I am and all that I’ll ever be.”
I have doubted a lot of things, but I have never questioned or doubted that defining moment in my life when the course of my heart was set. Is it time to set or redirect the course of your heart to conform to God’s will? If you will commit your ways to Him, He will establish your paths.
