Judges 6:23-24 (KJV) And the Lord said unto him, Peace be unto thee; fear not: thou shalt not die. Then Gideon built an altar there unto the Lord, and called it Jehovah Shalom.

Judges 6:23-24 (NKJV) Then the Lord said to him, “Peace be with you; do not fear, you shall not die.” So Gideon built an altar there to the Lord, and called it The-Lord-is-Peace.

In the same way Jesus arose in a stormy boat and declared His peace in Mark 4:36-39, I can hear him declaring His word of peace to you and to that storm and threatening situation in your life right now. I see that situation bowing down and submitting to the Prince of Peace right now. From this moment on, nothing will cause you to become anxious in any area of your life. Instead of succumbing to that anxiety, you will pray and give God thanks in faith and God’s unusual peace that is beyond human understanding will keep your heart safe and sound through Christ, Phil. 4:6-7. Even through you walk through the valley of the shadow of death, you will fear no evil because of God’s presence that is always with you. Divine peace and wholeness are rightfully a part of your inheritance as a child of God. Keep your mind focused on God and He will keep you in perfect peace, Isa. 26:3.

Peace will also fill your heart as you love and meditate on God’s word, Psa. 119:165. People around you will be shocked and amazed by the unusual peace of God that you will maintain despite the way others around you may be worried and troubled. In the same way David was bold enough to face Goliath when everyone else was troubled and intimidated, you will be strong and you will overcome those threats that trouble and intimidate others. As Gideon built an altar and called it Jehovah Shalom, you will have great testimonies of God’s peace this year. The Bible says that the Lord of Peace Himself will grant you peace always by all means, 2 Thes. 3:16. “And the God of peace shall bruise Satan under your feet shortly. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen,” Rom. 16:20.

Prayer:

My mind is focused on You, Dear Lord. I receive Your divine peace and wholeness into every area of my life right now.
