WHAT ARE YOU FOLLOWING?
Romans 14:19, 1Corinthians 14:1, 1Timothy 6:10-11
Let us therefore follow after the things which make for peace, and things wherewith one may edify another. *Follow after charity, and desire spiritual gifts, but rather that ye may prophesy. *For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.

The things and people that we follow are very important for the way that our lives will eventually turn out. It may be easy to emphatically state what you think you are following or not following, but the real way to know what you are following is by asking yourself this question: “What direction is my life going because of the things and people that I am giving attention to?” “What things and people am I really allowing to influence
me?” If your life is going to go in the right direction, you cannot just follow everybody and everything. You must be deliberate about what you give your attention to, the kind of materials you consume and type of principles and values that you allow to influence you. To follow the right people and the right path, will require sacrifice. To follow the things and people that God wants you to follow, you must be ready to run away from the things and people that God does not want you to follow. You must love righteousness and hate evil, (Heb.1:9).
Follow peace and love and run away from trouble and hatred (Heb.12:14). Follow righteousness and holiness and run away from lusts and all kinds of evil,(2Tim.2:22). Do not follow wicked people to do evil. When sinners entice you, do not consent, (Prov.1:10). Beware of the company you keep and the influences you allow into your life,(Psa.1:1-3, Prov.22:24-25). Follow the faith of those who have taught you God’s word, (Heb.13:7). Follow those who through faith and patience inherit the promise, (Heb.6:12). Genuinely follow Christ and He will transform your life, (Matt.4:19, Acts 4:13). Follow the example of those who are really following Christ, (1Cor.11:1, NIV). Let your greatest desire be to follow Christ and become all He apprehended you for,

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, I want my life to go in your desire for me. I want to be everything Christ saved me for. Help me to follow Christ and the right things.
