Proverbs 12:15
The way of a fool is right in his own eyes, but he who heeds counsel is wise.
The leper, Naaman, took great offense when the prophet, Elisha, sent a lowly servant to speak with him. He was insulted at the humble cure that Elisha suggested.

He left his house in a rage. His servant wondered why he did not take the steps that the prophet recommended for healing.
His servants had traveled the long distance with Naaman, had suffered with him, dealt with his disease and his desperation. Most likely, they had helped him hide it and aided in the frantic search for a cure. They longed for Naaman’s healing too.
We often choose to deny that our sin is an issue. If we want the truth, we should talk with the people that live with it every day. Don’t have a temper problem? We should talk to the people we wound when we lash out. Don’t have a lying problem? Talk to the people who cannot trust a word we speak.
Naaman heard what his servant had to say, and it changed his perspective. He recognized that his disease impacted more than himself. Why not wade into the Jordan?
Our sin-sickness is a matter of life and death. Its lethal impact can infect those around us. Wade into the water to wash away its deadly damage and come up clean and free.
Blessing:
May the Lord bless you and keep you. May the Lord make His face to shine upon you and be gracious unto you and give you His peace. Take the step. Pray the prayer. Confess and turn away from your sin. Jesus has come to give you abundant life!
