Rejoice Over Your Enemies (2)

BIBLE READING: 1 Samuel 16-18
“And the fear of God was on all the kingdoms of those countries, when they had heard that the LORD fought against the enemies of israel. So the realm of Jehoshaphat was quiet: for his God gave him rest round about” – 2 Chronicles 20 :29 – 30.

MESSAGE
God gives His children victory over their enemies in the battles of life so that other enemies can learn a lesson from it and stay off their path thereby giving them rest round about. There are enemies that will never stay off the path of one’s destiny until God uses some adversaries as scape ? goat to teach them a lesson. True peace is initiated via war. When a strong enemy dreaded by others is brought down, other weaker ones maintain their space thereby giving one peace.

Those ‘kindergarten’ enemies still challenging you to a fight is because they are yet to see the judgement of your God over those major adversaries. When you prevail in major battles rejoicing over your enemies, little battles delete themselves off your path for fear of being grounded. As stated in our anchor text, the fear of God was on all the kingdoms of those countries when they had heard that the LORD fought against the enemies of Israel Vs 29. And so, they maintained their peace, withdrew into their shell and Israel had rest. All this while, they didn’t fear the LORD God of Israel, but when they heard what He did to their enemies, they feared Him. It was that fear that came on Jericho that it quarantined all its citizens that none went out or came in. See how scripture puts it, “Now Jericho was straitly shut up because of the children of Israel: none went out, and none came in”Josh. 6 :1. I see your adversaries going into hiding as you enjoy victories in battles. You shall rejoice over your enemies.

PRAYER: My Father! My Father! As I begin to pray now, I will rejoice over my enemies in battles
