ACTIVATE GOD’S SPIRIT OF EXCELLENCE THAT IS IN YOU

Daniel 6:3-4, Luke 7:28 (GNB)

Then this Daniel was preferred above the presidents and princes, because an excellent spirit was in him; ….the presidents and princes sought to find occasion against Daniel concerning the kingdom; but they could find none occasion nor fault; forasmuch as he was faithful, neither was there any error or fault found in him. *“… John is greater than anyone who has ever lived. But the one who is least in the Kingdom of God is greater than John.”

Our God is an excellent God and as His children, we must reflect and manifest His kind of excellence in every area of our lives. 2Peter 1:3 says, “According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue.” One of the meanings of the word virtue used in this verse is excellence. God has given you everything that you need to manifest His level of excellence in every area of your life. You are complete in Christ. Because you have the life of God in you, you have the capacity to manifest God’s kind of excellence and results in every area of your life.

In everything that God does, He manifests His excellence. God’s excellence is consistent. God manifested His excellence even in the way He formed you. In Psalms 139:14 (NIV), David said, “I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.” God’s name is excellent because His works are excellent. In Psalms 8:1&9, David said, “O LORD our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth! who hast set thy glory above the heavens. *O LORD our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth!”

God’s excellence comes from His deep way of thinking. Psalms 92:5 (NKJV) says, “O LORD, how great are Your works! Your thoughts are very deep.” How deeply do you think about things you do? As you meditate on God’s glory and matchless excellence today, I pray that His Spirit of excellence that is in you will be stirred up and activated like never before.

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, as I meditate on your glory and your excellent splendour, cause me to manifest your level of excellence in all I do.
