Let Hagar Go!

No matter how long Hagar has been with you, how sentimentally attached you are to her, the divine couns, is to let Hagar go. Hagar stands for whoever is not on a destiny journey with you but presently with you emotionally or for your present need. Hagar stands for whoever may hinder the promise or contend with it in future. Hagar stands for your past in your today. It stands for anything of ‘Egypt’ going with you to your ‘Canaan’.

Even as hard as it may sound, whoever is in your life, family, ministry etc, that is Hagar, let them go quite early. Hagar is a shadow of that which is to come, it can never fir in or be compared with the promise. Even if it will cause you pain presently, let Hagar go. It is better to experience pain now when you have the ability to deal with it than to experience pain at the latter end when time and resources are far spent on Hagar.

Life is spiritual; to live carnally is to end up a casualty or be heartbroken or disappointed in future. When you release yourself to the Holy Spirit operating in the realm of the Spirit, you will pick the likes of Hagar around you. Your spiritual sensitivity will be awaken to realize who they are. God guides His children, but most times when He reveals persons to us as Hagars, we misjudge those Revelations as not from God and discard them.

It is when things have gone critically bad that many retrace them steps back to God seeking his healing and restoration. As soon as God gave Abraham that instruction to let Hagar go, Abraham immediately hearkened. God’s plan for Hagar was not on Abraham’s lane. Abram brought her in, Abraham’s the man who wants to walk before God and be perfect sent her packing to give way for the covenant.
