Isaiah 28:11-12 For with stammering lips and another tongue will he speak to this people. To whom he said, This is the rest where with ye may cause the weary to rest; and this is the refreshing: yet they would not hear.

1 Corinthians 14:2 & 4a For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto me, but unto God: for no man understandeth him; howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries. 4He that speaketh in an unknown tongue edifieth himself.

Praying in tongues is a powerful way that God has provided for us to remain divinely refreshed and empowered. When God fills us with His Spirit, He also freely gives us the ability to pray in the Spirit by speaking in other tongues. In Acts 2:4, the Bible says, “and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to spe3ak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.” Praying in tongues was one of Apostle Paul’s major secrets. In 1 Corinthians 14:18, he noted, “I thank my God, I speak with tongues more than ye all.” In 1 Corinthians 14:14-15 Apostle Paul added, “for if I pray in an unknown tongue, y spirit prayeth, but my understanding is unfruitful. What is it then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will pray with the understanding also: I will sing with the spirit, and I will sing with the understanding also.” Halleluyah!

Praying in tongues is one of the most powerful ways to pray. When you pray in tongues, you are speaking directly to God and activating glorious mysteries into your life. Praying in tongues charges your spirit. It builds divine strength into you and it stirs up the grace and abilities of the Spirit in you. Learn how to refresh yourself by the Spirit. Ephesians 5:18-20, “… be not drunk with wine, wherein excess; but be filled with the Spirit; Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord; Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.”
