Judges 6;16 -17 (NIV) psalm 62:11 (NKJV), 2cor 1;20 (NLT) the Lord answered, “I will be with you, and you will strike down all the midianites together ” Gideon replied, ” if now i have found favor in your eyes, give me a sign that it is really you talking to me. *God has spoken once , twice have i heard this: that power belongs to God. *for all of the God’s promises have been fulfilled in Christ with a resounding “Yes!” And through Christ, our “Amen” (which means “Yes “) ascends to God for his glory.

How do you feel when someone who is strong and powerful makes an promise to you? You maintain the assurance and confidence that the promise will surely come to pass based on who that person is, right? Beloved, you have to come to the point were you realize that your assurances about your life do not generate from man, but from God himself. In our first text above,Gideon wanted to be sure that it was God speaking to him. If you want to maintain this assurance, study and meditate on the word of God for yourself and allow the spirit of God to breathe God’s life into His word as it enters your heart. Be like the Berean Christians. Receive God’s word gladly and go back to confirm it yourself,Acts 17:10-11 Receive your own deep and personal revelation from God about what He is saying to you. Pray over His word and declare it until faith is stirred up in your heart. God’s word will not benefit you if you take it lightly; like the words of men, 1 Thes. 2:13.Your strong and personal assurance of God’s word to you will cause you to overcome and prevail over the devil and every other opposition that you will face. In the NIV, our third text above says, ”for no matter how many promises God has made, they are ”Yes” in Christ. And so through him the ”Amen” is spoken by us to the glory of God”. What this means is that Christ has fulfilled all the conditions necessary for you to experience ALL God’s promise in your life. Keep your faith in Christ and God will fulfil His promise in your life.

Prayer Focus:

Rejoice that ALL of God’s promises are sure because of Christ. Declare God’s promises by faith over your life.
