Colossians 2:6-7 (KJV) As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him: Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving.

Colossians 2:6-7 (GNB) Since you have accepted Christ Jesus as Lord, live I union with him. Keep your roots deep in him, build your lives on him, and become stronger in your faith, as you were taught. And be filled with thanksgiving.

You must never grow tired of strengthening your roots and foundation in Christ. The deeper and stronger your roots are in Christ, the better off you will be. This will increase your chances of being strong and doing exploits and it will reduce the devil’s chances of cheating you and keeping you from the life that God wants you to lead. Apart from desiring to have a stronger foundation in Christ, you must also continually desire to be built up in Christ and grow into His fullness. Allow the consciousness of your oneness with Christ to manifest and reflect in every area of your life. You must desire to become just like Christ in every area of your life, Eph. 4:15. That is your destiny in God, Rom. 8:29.

Beloved, let Christ be Lord indeed of your life. Do His will. Remember that your life belongs to Him. It is actually His life that you are leading now. Allow Christ to live His life through and you and let your roots go deep down into His love, Eph. 3:17. In Acts 20:32, Apostle Paul reminded the believers at Ephesus that it is the revelation of God’s grace that will build them up and give them access to their divine inheritance in God. The revelation of God’s grace are evidenced in the truths that God reveals to us about the glorious things that He has done for us in Christ. One thing that enhances the manifestation of God’s glory and grace in your life is your continual gratitude for the things that God has done for you in Christ. As God reveals these things to you, rejoice and celebrate them!

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, I appreciate you and I rejoice in the wonderful things you have done for me in Christ.
