PRAY ALWAYS

TEXT: PROVERBS 16:3 (AMPC), 1 THESSALONIANS 5:17, COLOSSIANS 4:12
KEY VERSE: 1 THESSALONIANS 5:17 – “PRAY WITHOUT CEASING.”

INTRODUCTION : Prayer is not just a tool for solving problems; it is a vital aspect of our relationship with God. Throughout Scripture, we are encouraged to pray continually, without ceasing. This study explores the importance of maintaining a lifestyle of prayer and how it deepens our connection with God.

STUDY:

1. Praying Continually:

• Prayer is more than a sporadic activity reserved for times of need; it is a constant dialogue with God (1 Thessalonians 5:17).
• Just as Jesus prayed always, we are called to maintain an ongoing conversation with God, seeking His guidance, wisdom, and presence in every aspect of our lives.

1. COMMITTING OUR PLANS TO GOD:

• PROVERBS 16:3 encourages us to roll our works upon the Lord, trusting Him to establish and succeed in our plans.
• Prayer involves surrendering our desires, plans, and aspirations to God, inviting His guidance and intervention in every area of our lives.

1. PRAYER AS RELATIONSHIP BUILDING:

• Prayer is not merely a religious duty but a means of nurturing our relationship with God.
• By praying always, we demonstrate our faith, dependence, and trust in God’s wisdom, mercy, and grace available to us. 4 INTERCEDING FOR OTHERS:
• COLOSSIANS 4:12 highlights the example of Epaphras, who fervently prayed for others, desiring their perfection and completeness in God’s will. As believers, we are called to intercede for one another, lifting fellow believers, ministers of the Gospel, and the spread of the Gospel worldwide in prayer. CONCLUSION: PRAYER IS AN ESSENTIAL ASPECT OF THE CHRISTIAN LIFE, NOT TO BE CONFINED TO MOMENTS OF CRISIS BUT INTEGRATED INTO OUR DAILY ROUTINES. LET US EMBRACE THE PRIVILEGE OF PRAYER AS A MEANS OF EXPRESSING OUR FAITH, SEEKING GOD’S GUIDANCE, AND PARTICIPATING IN HIS WORK IN THE WORLD.
