“I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me” Philippians 4:13 KJV
As a believer, you are not to depend on your strength. You are to depend on God for strength. By strength here, I am referring to your physical body. You can grow in age and still be filled with vigour and vitality, mentally alert and strong spiritually. Do not accept that you are falling apart. Refuse it! It is not your portion! It is not only your soul that was redeemed; your body too was redeemed. The Bible says, “Himself took our infirmities and bore our sickness, by whose stripes we were healed.” You are healed of diabetes, high blood pressure, cancer, tumour, barrenness and all kinds of diseases.

3 John 2 says, “Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.” That is all-round prosperity. Of what use is money when you cannot travel where you want to, drive what you want to drive, dress the way you want to dress and eat what you want to eat? When God blesses you, He makes it all round and keeps you alive to enjoy what He has given to you.
Proverbs 4:20-22 says, “My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. For they are life unto those that find them and health to all their flesh” (KJV)

The word ‘health’ there is also translated as ‘medicine.’ When you wake up every morning and begin to feed on the Word of God, you are taking medicine. You are injecting your blood and your body with God’s Word. I inject the Word of God into my life every day by speaking the promises of God to myself: to my eyes, to my nose, to my mouth, to my bone marrow, to my arteries, to my  veins, to my bloodstream, to my lungs, to my kidney, to my heart; to my brain and to my hands and feet, because I still want to stand tall when I grow old.
