“To the weak became I as weak, that I might gain the weak: I am made all things to all men that I might by all means save some.”
1 Corinthians 9:22 KJV
Unity is a fundamental of faith. The issues of covering of hair by women and dressing are non-essentials and we don’t have to break our heads over them. When the Bible speaks of unity of faith according to Ephesians 4:13, it requires that, because a brother or sister sitting by me is feeling that his or her Christian faith is being interfered with by my not covering my hair or my wearing of ornament, I can decide to be covering my hair until God opens his or her eyes to understand it.
The Bible says knowledge profits all, but charity edifies. Charity means stopping an attitude which is not actually sinful, just to enable another person keep faith. People mature into charity. So, we shouldn’t be divided and quarrel over non-essentials. Some people get into churches and look around, and once they see a sister who is not covering her hair or a brother who is wearing ornaments, they feel disconnected even if they know that the power of God is working in that church. Such people would not leave the church blessed. Such a person cannot have dominion because he is already embittered.
Paul was able to teach and minister to all categories of people. He said, “To the weak, I became weak. To the strong, I became strong; to the poor, I became poor; to those under the law, I put myself under the law but not without the law of Christ. I’m all things to all men, so that I may win them”. That is what Christians should zero in on. Make yourself all things to all men. “The wind bloweth where it listeth.” (John 3:8.) Let not people be able to predict you. You can’t predict where the wind is blowing from. All you see are its activities. If you are all things to all men, people cannot predict you. And demons cannot predict you. So you will be walking in dominion.
