JESUS CHRIST PERFECTED EVERYTHING
“For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.” (Romans 5:19 KJV)
By Adam’s disobedience many were made sinners and by the obedience of Jesus Christ many were made righteous. How did believers become righteous? Is it because you did good or because you obeyed the law? The answer is no. It is basically because of the obedience of Jesus. So, take your eyes away from your obedience because your obedience will never be perfect. The only perfect obedience is the obedience of Christ.
If you want to overcome sin in your life, begin to see yourself in Christ because the beauty of Christ is your beauty. What Christ has become is what you have become. The victory of Christ is your victory. The defeat of sin in Christ Jesus is a defeat of sin on your behalf. God does not behold iniquity in you. God does not see sin in the believer because all the sins in you from day one that you were born till when you will die have already been packaged together and put inside Christ. That is why He died. He died once and for all. He does not die every day. All the sins you will ever commit throughout your lifetime, God took all of them and put them on Christ. So, when you receive Christ into your heart, you are discharged and acquitted. The case against you is closed, and there is no appeal.
The greatest thing the Lord did for us is to make us believers in Christ. Christ came and paid the debt that you could not pay. He took the pains that I could not bear. He took the sickness, the disease, the poverty, and the frustration that you could not take. He took them all. And when He was done, He said “it is finished”. He completely paid for the salvation of all men.
So, God has no more wrath to pour on you, no judgment left to pour on you. All the judgment that you deserve has been poured on His Son.
