LEARN TO TRUST GOD

“For we which have believed do enter into rest…” Hebrews 4:3 (KJV)

It is no longer news that there is so much anxiety, uncertainty, and difficulty in our world
today. But Jesus tells us in John 16:33: “These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye
might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have
overcome the world.” (John 16:33 KJV). Jesus has overcome the world. Therefore, we can
confidently expect all things, good and bad, to work out for our good. Jesus has deprived this
world of the power to harm you. This is why you can rest in Him.

God has prepared a place of rest for His children. God never intended for His children to
suffer and struggle. God’s intention is for you to overcome in every area of life. However, we
must believe in getting in on this plan and into this rest. We must believe that God is who He
says He is. We must believe that He is faithful to His Word. The issue of belief is one that
many people struggle with because it goes against the grain of the world's systems.
According to the world, seeing is believing, but in the kingdom of God, believing is seeing.

Those who will enjoy this special place of rest must trust God. I was meditating over this
trust issue, and it occurred to me that we most likely do not understand the integrity of who is
at stake here. We are talking about the God of the entire universe, the maker of heaven and
earth, the alpha and omega. If we can truly understand who this God is and His integrity, it
will be easier for us to trust. This is why we must continue to pursue intimacy with God so
that we can understand who He is and learn to trust Him.

In the midst of the chaos, there is a place of rest for you. God has ordained rest for you in
Christ. But you must trust Him.
