GOD WANTS YOU TO COME BOLDLY

“Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.” Hebrews 4:16 (KJV)

I have come to discover that the more I read the scriptures, the more I find out that we are the ones making God look difficult and complex. You go to God crying every day to be forgiven. Meanwhile, the Bible says your sins and iniquities have been forgiven. Leave it as simple as that. You talk to God, knowing that you are forgiven. You can come freely and boldly without fear of what God will do to you. He is your Daddy! Forgiveness is not predicated on what you do but on what Jesus has already done. That is why we appreciate Him. He has paid the price in full.

So, confession in the New Testament is just being honest about your failures and humanity. Confession in the New Covenant is admitting your inability but leaning on His grace and mercy, not crying and rolling on the floor and all that. No! It is admitting that you cannot keep the laws, but Jesus has already kept them and died on your behalf; therefore, your sins are washed away. In view of this, confession moves from begging Him to thanking Him. You are now appreciating what Jesus did for you on the cross. If God were to judge us by the Ten Commandments, we would be dead. But He’s dealing with you because of Jesus, who paid the complete price.

Many people go before God, cringing. They still have the Old Testament mindset. They see God as the taskmaster who is ready to drop a sledgehammer on them. Beloved, that has been totally wiped out with the blood of Jesus. Jesus died to give you access to the presence of God. So, arise and come before your Father with a knowing that He hears and answers even the unspoken prayers. That is why we must appreciate the finished work at Calvary and thank God for the opportunity to come before Him boldly.
