YOUR SINS HAD BEEN TAKEN AWAY

“And every priest standeth daily ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins: but this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God;” Hebrews 10:11-12 (KJV)

Adam, the first man, fell. Then man started struggling and suffocating because he lost his identity. If you release a lion inside the jungle, you have only succeeded in putting it in its natural habitat. No matter how prevalent hunger is in the jungle, a lion will not eat grass because it is wired to eat flesh. It knows its identity and the environment it was created to function in.

When man fell, he became afraid and started running from the devil. That ought not to be. The devil should see you and be on the run. That is how God purposed it. Thank God that His plan for you cannot be aborted.

Immediately man fell, and God initiated a plan to restore him by slaughtering an animal (Genesis 3: 21). Man had been struggling to cover himself. He got leaves to cover himself, but the leaves got dry, and he became naked again. God saw that man did not understand. So, God took an animal, slaughtered it, skinned it and covered the man. He purposed that man, made in His image, should not be naked. You will not be naked.

You see, it is our actual image and identity that the devil is after. The devil knows that if you understand who you are, it is over for him tormenting you. The slaughtering of that animal was a type of Jesus. Jesus came to destroy the works of the devil. The Bible says in 1 John 3:8: “…for this purpose, the son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.” 1 John 3:5 says: “And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin”.

The devil’s works have been destroyed, and your sins have been taken away. Understand your true image and identity today; the devil will flee from you.
