PRAY IN THE HOLY GHOST
“But ye, beloved, building up yourself in your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost.”
Jude 1:20 (KJV)
Many believers don’t understand what it means to pray in the Holy Ghost. The Bible says out
of your belly shall flow rivers of living water (John 7:38). According to the scriptures, we use
the shield of faith to quench the fairy darts of the wicked. Paul was looking at a Roman
soldier when he wrote to the Church in Ephesians 6:16. So why is it a fairy dart? The purpose
of the fairy dart is to shoot at that shield, which is made of wood, to set it ablaze. However,
when you pray in the Holy Spirit, what happens is that the rivers of living waters that flow
out of your belly wet the shield so that by the time the arrow comes with the flame, it will just
quench it.
Believers should always pray in the Holy Ghost. There is so much about praying in the Holy
Ghost that many believers have not understood. Medical scientists have proven that certain
chemicals are released when believers pray in tongues, which ordinarily cannot be released
into your body. The devil fears the man who prays in the Holy Spirit. Many things you cannot
imagine take place when you pray in tongues.
An understanding of natural things will help you see how Spiritual things operate. For
instance, if somebody challenges you and goes to meet a native doctor in the village. The
native doctor will stay in the village and speak words. He doesn’t come to meet you in the
city. Instead, he speaks words expecting that those words he spoke will come and affect you
where you are. Now when you understand that you are of a higher order, what happens is
when the spirit is heading in your direction, it will suddenly notice that you are surrounded
and will return to where it was sent. You must begin to apply and appropriate who you are.
That is why you must pray in tongues and speak the word of God to yourself.
