“Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof”.Proverbs 18:21 KJV
In my many decades of ministry, I have come to understand the power of the spoken word. Wherever you find yourself, please do not join those discussing how bad things are, because when you do that, you would be cursing yourself. I can tell you categorically that words are powerful.
Have you observed that even in the midst of the challenges in your country of residence, some people are becoming millionaires and new billionaires are emerging? Many people are smiling to the bank! Why not you? The thing that the devil is doing is to cause you to say the wrong things. But you must refuse to fall for his tricks. Death and life are in the power of the tongue. I get disturbed when a parent, out of anger, calls a child all kinds of bad names. It simply shows the level of ignorance under which the person is operating. Rather than call the child bad names, sit the child down and address the issue. You may have to do it several times before the child begins to respond positively, but it is better than putting a curse on your child.
Let me show you the power of words. If you tell your child to take a book from the table and take the same book to a guest in the house, the child will obey you. You will notice that without getting out of your seat, the book has moved from the table into the hands of your guest. That means you move things by your words. The Bible tells us that “the things which are seen were not made of the things that do appear”. Which means that words created what we see. God calls the things that be not as though they were, and they come into existence.
Learn to speak the right words and things will surely move. When you speak, God knows how to rearrange and move things in your favour.
