Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the LORD delivereth him out of them all”.Psalm 34:19 KJV Often times, I get excited as I read the Bible. When it looks like the enemy has scored a point, then suddenly, you just see two words “but God”. That means that God, in His own exclusive class, has intervened in the case. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but God delivers him out of them all. Beloved, I need you to get something clear. God is not contending with the devil, because the devil is a defeated foe. The scripture says, “Having spoilt principalities and powers, He made a show of them openly; triumphing over them in it.” My God stretches the heaven like a curtain. He looks from heaven and sees the inhabitants of the earth like grasshoppers. He will fight your battles and you will emerge victorious.
Jesus rose from the dead and said, “All power is given unto me in heaven and in the earth” (Matthew 28:18 KJV) At the name of Jesus every knee should bow. All things and beings in the three levels of the universe submit to Him- in heaven, on earth, and in hell. That is the God we serve! When you begin to attribute to the devil the power that he doesn’t have and the position he doesn’t hold, you are simply giving him undue attention. The devil does not have power and authority over a child of God; not even the least believer. The Bible says we have been quickened with Christ, raised and made to sit together with Him in heavenly places. Where Christ is, that is where we are. As He is, so are we in this world
Often times, we sing that song: “Demons tremble at His presence…” Have you asked yourself who the carriers of His presence are? The believers of course! When you appear, demons tremble because of what you carry. Christ in you is the hope of glory. Greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world. When you have this understanding, you know that the battle you are facing is not over until you win. You will certainly emerge victorious.
