CELEBRATE GOD FOR THE BENEFITS OF THE CROSS

PSALMS 103:1-5 (NKJV)
Bless the LORD, O my soul; And all that is within me, bless His holy name! Bless the LORD, O my soul, And forget not all His benefits: Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases, Who redeems your life from destruction, Who crowns you with loving kindness and tender mercies, Who satisfies your mouth with good things, So that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.

Everything that God does for us He does it because of Christ. Therefore as we celebrate and thank God today for all He has done for us this year, we are celebrating and thanking God for all He has done for us because of Christ. The most important things God wants us to always thank Him for are the things He has done for us because of the Cross of Christ. We must never forget them.

Just like David did in our text above, today is a good time to thank God that because of Christ all your sins are forgiven and you have been made righteous in God’s sight. The power of sin has been broken from your life and you exercised victory over sin this year. Thank God that because of Christ you are healed and you experienced God’s healing power this year; even in your mind and emotions. Thank God that because of Christ your life was preserved from destruction. God was your refuge and fortress and He did not allow evil to overwhelm you.

Thank God that because of Christ God crowned you with His loving kindness and tender mercies. It is because of this you experienced God’s abundant favour this year in various areas of your life. Thank God that because of Christ He satisfied your mouth and your life with good things and your youth was renewed like that of the eagle.

THANKSGIVING PRAYER:
I THANK YOU, DEAR LORD FOR YOUR ABUNDANT LOVE AND GOODNESS THAT I EXPERIENCED THIS YEAR BECAUSE OF CHRIST
