TOPIC: IT IS THE SEASON OF NEW THINGS

KEY VERSE:
Isaiah 43:18-19(NIV)- Forget the former things, do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up ; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and stream in the waste land.

Text: 2 Corinthians 5:17, Philippians 3:13b ( NIV ).

Introduction: God is a God of new beginnings, always working to bring fresh and vibrant experiences into our lives. He calls us to move beyond the past and embrace the new things that He is unfolding. As a believer in Christ you are a new creation and each day offers new possibilities, blessings and opportunities to grow in faith and purposes. This study will explore how to let go of the past and leave in anticipation of the new things, God has planned for you

STUDY:

1. Embrace Your New Identity in Christ:
   2 Corinthians 5:17 highlights that when you are in Christ you are completely new, the old life and it’s struggles no longer define you. God has made you brand- new with a future filled with promise. Being a new creation means your past no longer has control over your present or your future. God wants you to focus on the future He has prepared one full of His grace and purpose.
2. Forget the Past and Focus on what ‘s Ahead:
   Philippians 3:13b (NIV ) tells us that dwelling on past mistakes, hurts or even successes can limit your ability so perceive what God is doing in your life right now. Paul encourages us to let go of the past and press forward toward what lies ahead. This mindset allows you to receive and perceive the new things God is doing in your life. Don’t allow the past to hold you back— God is leading you into new seasons of growth and Victory.
3. God is Making a Way in your Wilderness:
   Isaiah 43:18-19 makes us understand that even in challenging seasons or places where it seems impossible for change to happen, God is creating new paths. Like streams in a wasteland , God brings life and refreshing into situations that seem dry or hopeless. Trust that He is at work making a way for you where there seems to be no way, His plans for you are greater than you can imagine and He will continually lead you into new things.

Conclusion:
God wants to do new things in every area of your life. As you let go of the past and embrace your new identity in Christ, trust that He is working in your present to bring about his promises. Everyday is an opportunity to walk in the newness of life, to experience His resurrection power and to step into the great plans He has for you.
Stay expectant and open to the new things God is doing and know that your best days are always ahead of you.
