TOPIC: Keep yourself in the love of God

TEXT: Jude 1:20-21 (NIV), Romans 8:35, 37 (NIV)
…By building yourselves up in your most holy faith and praying in the Holy Spirit keep yourselves in God’s love as you wait for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to bring you to eternal life.
*Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword?
*No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.

The love of God for you is so perfect and wonderful, and as you grow in your consciousness of it, there are so many glorious benefits it has on your life. God’s love for you is unconditional and everlasting, (Jer.31:3). God will never stop loving you. He demonstrated His love for you while you
were a sinner, by giving you His best gift; Jesus for dying for you on the
Cross, (Rom. 5:8). Along with Jesus, He also freely gave you all things, (Rom.8:32).
Even though God will never stop loving you, several situations in life will try to make you doubt God’s love for you and bring yourself out of that glorious and victorious position you occupy in God’s love. The Devil does not want you to remain in God’s love because he knows the glorious benefits the love of God has upon your life.
You must therefore be very deliberate about keeping yourself in the
consciouSness of the love of God. If you ever doubt God’s love for you, it is never because God has stopped loving you, it is because you have
allowed yourself to drift away from your consciousness of His great love for you. God wants you to be rooted and grounded in His love, (Eph. 3:17).
God wants you to know and believe the love He has for you, (1 John 4:16), such that even when you don’t feel it, you still know it.

PRAYER:
Father, please help me to grow in my consciousness of your
great love for me. Help me to be rooted and grounded in your love.
