How Moses displayed Spiritual Mindedness

Hebrews 11:24-27(GNB)
It was faith that made Moses…. refused to be called the son of the king’s daughter. He preferred to suffer with God’s people ….than to enjoy sin for a little while. He reckoned that to suffer scorn for the Messiah was worth far more than the treasures of Egypt, for he kept his eyes on the future reword. It was faith that made Moses leave Egypt….. He saw the invisible God, he refused to turn back .

Moses was privileged to have a revelation of Christ that radically affected the cause of his entire life. It was so strong that it affected his identity. The great treasures of wealth and power that were available to him in Egypt were not strong enough to trap his soul and make him deny Christ. Identifying with God’s people and suffering for Christ was a greater treasure to him than all the sins and pleasures of Egypt.

Because Moses accepted his real identity in God, he was able to sacrifice and commit himself to save and fulfill the assignment that God has for him to fulfill. This lead to the saving of many lives and the advancement of God’s will and purpose on the earth.

Moses was not only focus on the present.he was focused on what was lying ahead. He kept his eyes on future reword. He understood his part on in God’s plan of redemption and he knew that one day, God would reword him for his services and labour of love, (Rev. 22:12). Moses had a different consciousness. He was very conscious of God. He behave as if he was seeing the invisible God. He was seeing what others were not seeing. God was more real to him and pleasing God was more valuable to him than pleasing men or reputation in the sight of men.

Prayer:
Father, may the revelation of Christ fill my heart so much as to affect my identity, behaviour and commitment to do your Will.
