JESUS WILL BE GLORIFIED IN AND THROUGH YOUR LIFE

JOHN 15:7-8 (AMPC), JOHN 14:13 (AMPC)

If you live in Me [abide vitally united to Me] and My words remain in you and continue to live in your hearts, ask whatever you will, and it shall be done for you. When you bear (produce) much fruit, My Father is honored and glorified, and you show and prove yourselves to be true followers of Mine. *And I will do whatever you ask for in my name, so that the Father’s glory will be shown through the Son.

God wants to glorify Christ in and through your life. He wants your life to show forth the glory and virtues of Christ, so that men will praise Him and be drawn to Him because of you, (1Pet.2:9). Jesus is committed to manifesting His glory in your life. In our last text above, Jesus said whenever we declare anything in His name (authority), He will do it, so that the Father will be glorified through Him. No wonder, the power of God manifested when Peter commanded in the name of Jesus, for the lame man by the beautiful gate to walk. In describing what happened, Peter said it was not his power or holiness that made the man walk; rather, God glorified Christ there, (Acts 3:12-13). God will glorify Christ in and through your life.

Say and do everything in the name (authority) of Jesus, (Col.3:17). Do only those things that will glorify Christ. Remember that you are dead and it is Christ who is living through you now, (Gal.2:20). He died for you, so you can live for Him, (2Cor.5:15). Abide in Christ, and let your life bear the fruit of Christ. Your life is for the glory of Christ. Paul was so conscious of this that he said, “My deep desire and hope is that I shall never fail in my duty, but that at all times, and especially right now, I shall be full of courage so that with my whole being I shall bring honor to Christ, whether I live or die,” (Phil. 1:20, GNB).

PRAYER:
FATHER, I THANK YOU THAT AS I SAY AND DO EVERYTHING IN THE NAME OF JESUS, THE GLORY AND POWER OF JESUS ARE SEEN IN MY LIFE CONTINUALLY.
