REPROGRAM YOUR MIND WITH YOUR SPIRITUAL REALITIES (1)
Colossians 3:1-2 (NIV, GNB)
Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your mind on things above, not on earthly things. *You have been raised to life with Christ, so set your hearts on the things that are in heaven, where Christ sits on his throne at the right side of God. Keep your minds fixed on things there, not on things here on earth.
In Romans 12:2, Paul made a very powerful statement. He said, “And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.” After you were born in the natural, as you grew up, you were programmed to think and talk like the people of this world do. You did everything you did naturally, and based on your physical realities, but things have changed. Now that you are born again and you are no longer of this world, you need to reprogram your mind to think and talk like someone who is a citizen of God’s kingdom; who operates in God’s realm. You need to reprogram yourself to start thinking and talking supernaturally like Christ because you have His life in you now.
You must stop seeing yourself only after the flesh, or based on your physical realities. You are a new creature in Christ, (2 Cor.5:16). God wants you to ‘set’ your mind on things above (where you are from). Set your mind to understand and operate supernaturally. As a man thinks in his heart, so is he (Prov. 23:7a). If you don’t reprogram your mind with your spiritual realities, you will live an ordinary and limited life. Be more deliberate about continually listening to news from your kingdom. News about who you are, what you have, where you are, and what you can do, because of Christ. Listen more to the Gospel!
Prayer:
Father, please help me to reprogram my mind with my spiritual realities in Christ; so I can think and talk as you want me to.
