THE LOVE OF GOD MAKES YOU VICTORIOUS IN ALL CIRCUMSTANCES

Romans 8:37 (LB, TPT, AMPC)

“but despite all this, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ who loved us enough to die for us. “Yet even in the midst of all these things, we triumph over them all, for God has made us to be more than conquerors, and his demonstrated love is our glorious victory over everything! “Yet amid all these things we are more than conquerors and gain a surpassing victory through Him Who loved us.”

As a child of God, you are not trying to conquer. You are more than conquerors. Jesus has already conquered for you and He has given you the victory. Stop approaching the issues of your life as if you are trying to get victory. You are not trying to get the victory, you already have the victory! Our first translation above does not say, “Overwhelming victory will be ours”; it says, “Overwhelming victory is ours.” It is ours already through Christ. We already have the victory, because of God’s great love for us and all He sent Jesus to do for us.

Our second translation above says, “God’s demonstrated love is our glorious victory over everything!” How did God demonstrate His love for us? By sending Jesus to die for us, (Rom. 5:8). The more we are conscious of God’s great love for us and all He has done for us through Christ, the more we will face life with a sense of victory and we will experience victory. This is why the Bible says our fight is a good fight of faith, (1 Tim. 6:12). It is a good fight because we are already victorious. We have won already. Christ has won for us. We do not put on the whole armour of God to fight against the devil’s powers. We put on the whole armour of God to stand and enforce the victory Christ has already won for us. Jesus has defeated the Devil and all principalities and powers and He has disarmed them, (Heb. 2:14, Col. 2:14-15).

Faith Declaration:

I am more than conquerors through the love God demonstrated to me through Christ. I am victorious!
