HOW TO FIND WHERE IT IS WRITTEN OF YOU
Psalms 139:16-17 (NLT), Hebrews 10:6-7 “You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed. How precious are your thoughts about me, O God. They cannot be numbered! *In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin thou hast had no pleasure. Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God.”
As Jesus returned from the wilderness, He went to the synagogue and He was given a portion of the scriptures to read from. It was Isaiah’s prophecy about Jesus’ mission on earth. Jesus read it with boldness and declared to everyone around that the scripture He read was no more a prophecy, but now a reality. He was the reality of that scripture, (Luke 4:16-22).
There are three ways God wants us to find and declare what He has written about us in the scriptures as our realities. One way is for every promise He has made to His children in the scriptures. In Christ, all of God’s promises to His children have been fulfilled for us, (2 Cor. 1:20). See and declare them as your present reality. You will not be the head; you are the head and not the tail, (Deut. 28:13).
Another way is as you see the things Christ has done for you by His death, burial, and resurrection; who you are, what you have, where you are, and what you can do because of Christ. You are forgiven (Eph. 1:7), blessed (Eph. 1:3), holy (1Cor. 3:17), righteous (2Cor. 5:21), perfect (Heb. 10:14), enriched in all things, (1Cor. 1:5), complete (Col. 2:10), anointed (2Cor. 1:21). Finally, see yourself doing whatever you see Jesus doing in the scriptures because you are one with Him, (1Cor. 6:17).
P R A Y E R:
Father, I thank you that all your promises are my realities now. Thank you for making me like Christ and for all Christ has done for me.ABOVE ONLY DAILY DEVOTIONAL
