YOU ARE GOD’S BELOVED

Daniel 10:11, 18-19 (LB)

…“O Daniel, greatly beloved of God,”.…“stand up and listen carefully to what I have to say to you, for God has sent me to you.” *Then the one who seemed to be a man touched me again, and I felt my strength returning. “God loves you very much,” he said; “don’t be afraid! Calm yourself; be strong—yes, strong!” Suddenly, as he spoke these words, I felt stronger…

Before giving Daniel the message from God, the angel reminded Daniel of how much he was loved by God and this strengthened Daniel. One of the greatest things God wants you to always be conscious of is that you are His beloved son or daughter. How often do you remember this, and how strong is this consciousness in you? This is so important to God that when Jesus was on the earth, God the Father kept telling Jesus that He was His Beloved Son with whom He was well pleased (Matt.3:17, Matt.17:5).

God does not just love you as He loved Daniel. He loves you as much as He loves Jesus, (John 17:23). You are God’s beloved just as Jesus is His beloved. The Bible says you have been accepted in the beloved, (Eph.1:6). God accepts and loves you the very same way He accepts and loves Jesus. Remember you are one with Jesus. God did not call Jesus His beloved Son because of anything Jesus had done. The first time God the Father called Jesus His Beloved Son, and said He was pleased with Him, Jesus had not yet performed any miracle or started His ministry. The reason God called Jesus His beloved Son and God was pleased with Him, was because of His life that was in Jesus. Beloved, this same life is in you. As you remain conscious of God’s perfect love for you, it will drive out every fear from your life, (1 John 4:18).

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, I thank you for loving and accepting me as your beloved. Fill my heart more with your perfect love for me.
