HOW TO SHOW LOVE TO THE BODY OF CHRIST (1)

Galatians 6:2 (AMPC), Colossians 4:12

Bear (endure, carry) one another’s burdens and troublesome moral faults, and in this way fulfill and observe perfectly the law of Christ (the Messiah) and complete what is lacking [in your obedience to it]. *Greetings from Epaphras, …a servant of Christ Jesus. He always prays fervently for you, asking God to make you stand firm, as mature and fully convinced Christians, in complete obedience to God’s will.

One way we must express our love for other believers is to pray fervently for the church. How much do you pray for the church of Christ? Jesus prayed for Peter that his faith would not fail him, (Luke 22:31-32). God wants us to pray fervently for one another, (James 5:16).

There is so much we ought to constantly pray for the church. We ought to give thanks to God for believers and pray that God will grant them the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Christ. We must pray for God to open the eyes of believers to the hope of His calling, His glorious riches in them, and His exceeding great resurrection power at work in them, (Eph. 1:15-20). Pray that believers will be strengthened with might by the Spirit in their inner man. That they will be rooted in the love of God, and they will know the various dimensions of God’s love for them in Christ, (Eph. 3:14-19). Watch and pray in the Spirit for other believers and pray for utterance and boldness to preach the Gospel, (Eph. 6:18-19).

Pray for believers to be filled with the knowledge of God’s will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding, (Col. 1:9-11). That believers will stand perfect and complete in all the will of God for their lives, (Col. 4:12). Bear the burdens of others in your prayers.

Action Point:
Pray for other believers right now as you are led by the Spirit.
