HOW TO SHOW LOVE TO THE BODY OF CHRIST (2)

HEBREWS 10:24-25 (TPT)

Discover creative ways to encourage others and to motivate them toward acts of compassion, doing beautiful works as expressions of love. This is not the time to pull away and neglect meeting together, as some have…the habit of doing, because we need each other! In fact, we should come together even more frequently, eager to encourage and urge each other onward as we anticipate that day dawning.

Another way we express our love for the body of Christ is by joining the gathering and fellowship with other believers. Every time we gather, Jesus Himself is in our midst, (Matt. 18:20). The angels of God ascend and descend. Miracles happen, our faith is strengthened and we are also used by God to be a blessing to others.

We also show love to the body of Christ by serving and ministering our gifts to bless and build up the lives of other believers. “Every believer has received grace gifts, so use them to serve one another as faithful stewards of the many-colored tapestry of God’s grace,” (1 Pet. 4:10). Faithfully supply your part for the growth and building of others in love, (Eph. 4:16). Don’t despise or ignore that role you can play in the church.

Another way to show love to the body of Christ is by giving to the church and to fellow believers. When the Bible says faith without works is dead, it is referring to engaging in acts of love to help one another, (James 2:17). The work or proof of our faith in Christ is love. “God is not unfair. He will not forget the work you did or the love you showed for him in the help you gave and are still giving to other Christians,” (Heb. 6:10). Be merciful, kind, tenderhearted and forgive other believers as Christ forgave you, (Eph. 4:32, Col. 3:13).

Heavenly Father, please use me to encourage, bless, and minister to another believer today
