GOD’S LOVING EYES ARE ALWAYS UPON YOU

Psalms 33:18-22 (GNB), Psalms 34:15 (GNB)

The LORD watches over those who obey him, those who trust in his constant love. He saves them from death; he keeps them alive in times of famine. We put our hope in the LORD; he is our protector and our help. We are glad because of him; we trust in his holy name. May your constant love be with us, LORD, as we put our hope in you. *The LORD watches over the righteous and listens to their cries;

When many people hear that God is watching them or that God’s eyes are upon them, the first thing that comes to their minds is that God is watching their every move so He can strike or punish them if they do anything wrong. But the picture God wants you to have of this is that of a loving parent watching tenaciously over the child to make sure that nothing evil happens to the child. God is watching over you to help you and keep you from harm. God is watching over you because He loves you so much. God’s eyes are full of love towards you. It is because of you that God neither sleeps nor slumbers. He loves you so much that He cannot take His eyes away from you.

The Bible says God is rejoicing over you, (Zeph.3:17). God delights in you, (Isa.62:4). You bring so much joy to His heart. God does not see you the way you see yourself. He sees you in His love and He sees you according to all He has made you in Christ. When Abraham was without a single child, God was seeing and calling him a father….of many nations. Gideon was afraid, hiding and feeling very low but God was seeing and calling him a mighty man of valour. Jesus had not started His ministry when God said this is my beloved Son with whom I am well pleased. God also sees you the same way because you are in Christ and you have been accepted in the beloved, (Eph.1:6).

Prayer:
Father, I thank you for your loving eyes that are always upon me to help me and keep me safe. Help me to see myself as you see me.
