SERVE GOD WITH JOY AND NEWNESS

Psalms 100:1-2 (TPT), Romans 7:6 (CEV)

Lift up a great shout of joy to the Lord! Go ahead and do it—everyone, everywhere! As you serve him, be glad and worship him. Sing your way into his presence with joy! *But the Law no longer rules over us. We are like dead people, and it cannot have any power over us. Now we can serve God in a new way by obeying his Spirit, and not in the old way by obeying the written Law.

God loves it when we serve Him with joy and gladness of heart. Just as God is always rejoicing over us, He wants us to always rejoice in Him. He wants us to always have His joy in us. The Bible declares, “Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice,” (Phil.4:4). Rejoice in the Lord because of His great love for you, His presence, power and life in you and His great promises and plans for your life. God wants you to always have joy unspeakable. The type of joy that is too much for you to even explain it. This joy fills your life with His glory, (1Pet.1:8). Do not allow anything to steal your joy. The joy of the Lord is your strength. When there is joy in your heart, it affects every single thing around you, (Joel 1:12). Living in joy and serving God with joy is the will of God for your life. “For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost,” (Rom.14:17).

Just as we need the help of the Holy Spirit to serve God with joy, we also need the help of the Holy Spirit to serve God with the newness of life. We died with Christ and now we have been raised with Christ unto a new and higher life. Just as the Holy Spirit raised Christ from the dead, He empowers us to walk in the newness of life, (Rom.6:4). He empowers us to know what Christ has done for us and to walk in it. Allow the Spirit to lead and empower you to know God and do His will always.

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, please fill my heart with your joy right now. I yield myself to your Spirit. Fill me and lead me to do your will
