CLING TIGHTLY TO GOD’S WORD AND PROMISES

Hebrews 6:11-12(NIV), Numbers 23:19 (GNB)

We want each of you to show this same diligence to the very end, so that what you hope for may be fully realized. We do not want you to become lazy, but to imitate those who through faith and patience inherit what has been promised. *God is not like people, who lie; He is not a human who changes his mind. Whatever he promises, he does; He speaks, and it is done.

Your attitude towards God’s word and promises is very important. In 2Thessalonians 2:13 (NLT), Apostle Paul said, “Therefore, we never stop thanking God that when you received his message from us, you didn’t think of our words as mere human ideas. You accepted what we said as the very word of God—which, of course, it is. And this word continues to work in you who believe.”

No matter your past experiences or the experiences of others, don’t despise or downplay the power of God’s word and promises. Do not call God a liar, (1John 5:10). Always see God’s promises as the great and precious promises they are, (2Pet. 1:4). Always see God’s word as alive, active and full of power, (John 6:63, Heb. 4:12).

Fill your heart with God’s word/promises and hold tightly to them until you experience their manifestation. Be fully persuaded. Always see God’s word and promises as your present reality no matter what you are seeing or experiencing in the physical. Pray, give thanks and rejoice over them even in the face of challenges and oppositions, like Abraham did (Rom. 4:20-21). This is how to be strong in faith. It is through faith and patience that we inherit and experience the manifestation of the promises of God

Prayer:
Father, I thank you for the grace you have given me to always believe and hold tightly to your word and promises this year.
