YOU ARE NOW IN THE KINGDOM OF CHRIST

COLOSSIANS 1:12-13 (GNB), MATTHEW 11:11 (GNB)

…give thanks to the Father, who has made you fit to have your share of what God has reserved for his people in the kingdom of light. He rescued us from the power of darkness and brought us safe into the kingdom of his dear Son, *I assure you that John the Baptist is greater than anyone who has ever lived. But the one who is least in the Kingdom of Heaven is greater than John.

By the virtue of your believing in Jesus, your citizenship has changed. You are now a citizen of Heaven/God’s kingdom (Phil.3:20, GNB) and an ambassador of Christ (2 Cor.5:20). This means that you now have the rights and privileges of a citizen and representative of God’s kingdom. This means that you can now operate like a citizen and representative of Heaven, just like Christ did when He was on the earth. When He was on the earth, Jesus did not operate like someone who was of this world because He knew where He was from. When you understand the realities of this kingdom you now belong to, you will live a supernatural life, just like Christ did.

Jesus said John the Baptist was greater than all who lived before Him, but He added, that the least person in God’s kingdom is greater than John the Baptist and all who lived before him. God wants you to know how great, powerful, and blessed you are because you have the life of Christ in you and you are a citizen of His kingdom.

You are not just in the kingdom of Christ, God has made you sit together with Christ in heavenly places (Eph.2:6), and in this position, you are far above principalities and powers in rank (Eph.1:19-21). The same power that raised Christ from the dead is at work in your life (Eph.3:20).
