CGMI NATIONAL BIBLE STUDY MANUAL

TOPIC:
THE CHRISTIAN ARMOUR

LESSON 1:
INTRODUCTION

TEXTS:
Eph 6:10-18; Lk 11:21-23

KEY VERSE:
2 Corinthians 10:4
“For the weapons of our warfare [are] not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds”

INTRODUCTION:
Christians are in a spiritual warfare (battle, struggle) against the forces of evil, which are supernatural forces that operate in the realm of darkness. Therefore, the believer should not be at ease, for the scriptures says ” woe to them that are at ease in Zion” (Amos 6:1).
We have weapons for this warfare and they are mighty through God. Christians should know that they are not armless. God has dressed up the believer with all that pertains to life and godliness and so we have weapons to win.
Although believers are guaranteed victory, they must not be ignorant of the devices of the devil. We need to be thoroughly equipped for the warfare by putting on the whole armour of God.
In this series of study, we shall be examining the different aspects of the armour of the believer so that we will be ready for battle and not be distracted by uncertain sounds (1Cor 14:8).
