SUPERNATURAL COURAGE AND BOLDNESS

1Samuel 17:37 & 48

David said moreover, The LORD that delivered me out of the paw of the lion, and out of the paw of the bear, he will deliver me out of the hand of this Philistine. And Saul said unto David, Go, and the LORD be with thee. *And it came to pass, when the Philistine arose, and came and drew nigh to meet David, that David hasted, and ran toward the army to meet the Philistine.

As David grew in his fellowship and intimacy with God, he increased in his courage and boldness. This is why he could face a lion and bear and also run boldly towards Goliath to conquer him. He was not afraid like Saul and the other Israelites were.

The Bible says they that know their God shall be strong and do exploits, (Dan.11:32). As you grow in your fellowship and intimacy with God through the revelation of Christ, something is happening to you on the inside. The image of Christ is progressively forming in you and one of the dimensions of this image is courage and boldness. You will manifest the courage and boldness of Christ. You will be more conscious of God and His life in you as well as His promises and power available to you and you will be more victorious in every area of your life. Beloved, God has not given you the spirit of fear, but of love, power and a sound mind, (2 Tim.1:7). You shall never be scared nor intimidated by any situation in your life again. Greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world, (1 John 4:4).

Just as God used David to raise mighty men out of people who were beaten, broken and battered, (1Sam.22:1-2, 2Sam.23:15-16), God will also use you to raise mighty men and women around you.

Prayer:
I thank you Heavenly Father, for the courage and boldness of Christ that is growing in me as I grow in my fellowship with you.
