DON’T JUST PASS BY

Luke 10:30-34 (NKJV)

…“A certain man … fell among thieves, who … wounded him, and departed, leaving him half dead. Now … a … priest came down that road. And… he passed by on the other side. Likewise a Levite…came and … passed by on the other side. But a certain Samaritan, … came … And…he had compassion. …he went to him…bandaged his wounds, …set him on his…animal, brought him to an inn, and took care of him.

God doesn’t want you to just spend time and pass through this earth without making any meaningful and eternal impact on the lives of others. Every day, there are numerous opportunities around us to touch lives by showing love, solving problems, and adding value. Many people have been bruised and wounded in the course of their journey through life. Many systems in many fields and spheres of influence have also been broken down by the wicked.

The least you can do is to show concern. Have the compassion of Christ. The compassion of Christ makes you to sincerely put yourself in the shoes of others, and do something about their condition. Ask God to use you to provide solutions. Jesus did not act indifferent whenever he saw someone who was sick, hurting or needed to be saved. He reached out and touched them. The oil and wine the Samaritan poured on the wounds of the wounded man, can symbolize the anointing and the love of God. He brought healing, comfort, and restored sweetness into the man’s life. He gave the man beauty for ashes. The compassion of Christ in your heart will make rivers of living water (the abilities of the Holy Spirit) flow out from you to others. Just as the Samaritan brought the wounded man into an inn to be nursed back to life, bring people into God’s house, so they can be discipled into the fullness of Christ.

Prayer:
Father, please use me to touch lives, solve problems, add value and make meaningful and eternal impact in the lives of others.
