GIVE THANKS ALWAYS

This is what God wants from you in your life in union with Christ Jesus.*And in the midst of everything be always giving thanks, for this is God’s perfect plan for you in Christ Jesus. *Keep your roots deep in him, build your lives on him, and become stronger in your faith, as you were taught. And be filled with thanksgiving.

One reason God wants you to always be thankful is because He has done so much for you in Christ. As a result of what He’s done for you, you will always be victorious in every situation of life. Based on all God has done for you in Christ, there are always so many great and wonderful things going on for you, that you may not even be aware of. Whatever you are going through cannot limit you. Even when you are praying or making any request to God, God wants you to do it with thanksgiving, (Phil. 4:6). Because of Christ, God has heard you already, and God has done what you are asking for already, (2Cor. 6:2).

Jesus was always thankful. That’s why He could thank God the way He did even before Lazarus’ grave, (John 11:41-42). He thanked God for the privilege to reveal supernatural truth to His disciples, (Luke 10:21).

Thanksgiving is an expression and strengthener of your faith in God (Rom. 4:20). You are doing the will of God, and activating the will of God in that situation. Thanking God for the things He’s done for us in Christ, activates the manifestation of those things in our lives. When you are focused and conscious of the grace of God, you will always be thankful. When you are always thankful to God for the things He’s done for you in Christ, there are things you will not want to do, (Eph. 5:3-4).

Prayer Focus:
Thank God for the things He has done for you in Christ. Pray with thanksgiving for every desire in your heart.
