ABOUNDING IN THE LOVE OF GOD (1)

1Thessalonians 3:12 (KJV, TPT), 2Corinthians 9:8 (CEV)

And the Lord make you to increase and abound in love one toward another, and toward all men, even as we do toward you: *And may the Lord increase your love until it overflows toward one another and for all people, just as our love overflows toward you. *God can bless you with everything you need, and you will always have more than enough to do all kinds of good things for others.

God doesn’t want us to experience His abundance alone. He wants us to express His abundance to others by showing love and giving/ being a blessing unto others.

God wants us to express His love and give/ bless the lives of others just as He God does, (John 3:16). The love of God that we have received in Christ, is so much that we cannot keep it to ourselves. When we are showing love and giving/being a blessing to others, we are practicing/ exercising the nature of God that is in us. As we continue to love, give and be a blessing to others, God continues to increase our capacity to express His love and be a blessing to others. The Bible says, “Give freely and become more wealthy; be stingy and lose everything. The generous will prosper; those who refresh others will themselves be refreshed,” (Prov.11:24-25, NLT).

Loving, giving and being a blessing to others is a major part of our kingdom lifestyle. It is a natural response to the grace and love of God that we have received in Christ. It is this revelation of the love of God that made the believers in the churches of Macedonia give so much, though they were going through a lot of challenges. They pleaded for opportunities to give and be a blessing to others, (2 Cor.8:1-5).

Prayer:
Dear Father, may the revelation of your abundant love continue to fill my heart, and may your love overflow from me to others
