WHEN GOD STARTS MOVING

Exodus 5:6-9 (CEV)

That same day the king gave orders … to the men … in charge of the Israelite slaves..: Don’t give the slaves any more straw to put in their bricks. Force them to find their own straw wherever they can, but they must make the same number of bricks as before. They are lazy, or else they would not beg me to let them go and sacrifice to their God. Make them work so hard that they won’t have time to listen to these lies.

When Moses and Aaron told Pharoah that God wants him to let the Israelites go, instead of letting them go, Pharoah increased the torment and burden upon the Israelites. When the Israelites found out that their condition had become worse because of what Moses and Aaron told Pharoah, they said, “We hope the LORD will punish both of you for making the king and his officials hate us. Now they even have an excuse to kill us,” (Exo. 5:21, CEV).

Sometimes, when God starts moving in your life, it may seem like things are getting worse. Things were probably going better before you started serving God, or before you started standing in faith on God’s word. But now, the pressure seems to be increasing and things seem to be getting out of hand. It’s just a lie of the devil to distract you and discourage you, so you can take your eyes and faith away from Christ. That persecution has arisen because of the word of God which has been spoken over your life and is about to manifest, (Matt. 13:21). Don’t be offended with God and don’t give up on your faith and commitment to God.

There is a great harvest ahead of you. Keep your eyes on Jesus. Keep your eyes on the joy set before you, (Heb. 12:2). Pray and receive God’s grace to keep pressing forward in faith, to receive your testimony.

Prayer:
Father, I thank you for the things you have started working out in my life. I receive your grace to remain strong and focused.
