WHEN MAN’S HELP FAILS

Exodus 37:21-22, 29 (CEV)

Reuben heard this and tried to protect Joseph … “Let’s not kill him,” he said. “Don’t murder him or even harm him. Just throw him into a dry well …” Reuben planned to rescue Joseph later and take him back to his father. *When Reuben returned to the well and did not find Joseph there, he tore his clothes in sorrow. Then he went back to his brothers and said, “The boy is gone! What am I going to do?”

When Rueben’s plan to save Joseph did not work, Rueben felt it was over for Joseph. But though man’s help and plan had failed, God’s help and plan were still working in Joseph’s life.

The reason that help from man did not work, is not because there is something wrong with you. Don’t jump into negative conclusions. The fact that your plan has failed does not mean that God’s plan has failed. God is with you and He is saying to you, “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts,” (Isa.55:8-9). Boldly declare that the Lord is your helper and stop being afraid! (Heb.13:5).

Keep your trust in God. Even if God leads you to receive help from men, don’t put your trust in men. King Dairus tried all he could to save Daniel from going into the lion’s den, (Dan. 6:14). Even though his help failed, God’s help for Daniel did not fail. As God sent his angel to shut the mouth of the lions, God is granting you supernatural help right now, (Dan. 6:21-22). If you’re like the man by the pool of Bethesda who had no man to help him, Jesus is standing beside you and He is saying “I am your help. Receive your miracle right now,” (John 5:1-9).

Prayer:
Father, I thank you that the supernatural help you are granting me right now, is greater and better than any other help or plan of mine.
