RECONCILED AND MADE RIGHTEOUS
*2CORINTHIANS 5:18-19, 21
And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.
Due to the fall of man caused by Adam’s sin, all men became sinners and man became an enemy of God, (Rom.5:12). The devil took advantage of man’s separation from God to torment and oppress man. Sin, sickness and every evil in the world also began to dominate over man. But the good news is, by the blood of Christ, God has reconciled us to Himself, (Col.1:20-21). God is no longer angry with us, and He wants us to receive the reconciliation He has provided by putting our faith in the sacrifice of Jesus. Due to this reconciliation we have with God; the devil, sin, sickness, and all kinds of evil no longer have a right to dominate us anymore.
God did not just reconcile us to Himself, He also made us righteous – as righteous as Himself, (2Cor. 5:21). To be righteous is to be in right standing with God such that God sees us as deserving of all His wisdom, glory, power, and blessings. It is to stand before God without a sense of guilt or condemnation. The righteousness of God is superior to the righteousness of man which is like filthy rags before God (Isa. 64:6). It can never justify us or make us deserve the things of God. By your faith in Christ, God has imputed His superior righteousness to you, (Rom. 3:22). By your faith in Christ, God has made you holy, unblameable and unreprovable in His sight, (Col.1:21-23, NLT).
PRAYER:
FATHER, THANK YOU FOR RECONCILING ME TO YOU AND FOR MAKING ME RIGHTEOUS. I RECEIVE YOUR RECONCILIATION AND YOUR RIGHTEOUSNESS.*
