RIGHTEOUSNESS AND THE SUPERNATURAL
 
Acts 3:11-12, 16 (NIV) While the man held…Peter and John, all the people were astonished and came running to them … When Peter saw this, he said …: “Fellow Israelites, why does this surprise you? Why do you stare at us as if by our own power or godliness we had made this man walk? *By faith in the name of Jesus, this man …was made strong. It is Jesus’ name and the faith that comes through him that has completely healed him…
 
By our faith in Christ, we are righteous (in right standing) before God, and because we are righteous, we are qualified and deserve the manifestation of the glory, power and blessings of God in our lives, (Rom. 3:22). When Peter spoke boldly and healed the lame man who was by the beautiful gate, he knew that God did not manifest His power through him for any other reason, apart from faith in Christ.  Peter was not self-conscious, He was Christ-conscious. Righteousness consciousness makes us Christ-conscious and more grateful to Christ.
 
We must live holy and godly lives, but we must always know that God manifests His glory and power in our lives only because our faith is in Jesus.
 
In Galatians 3:5 (NLT), Paul said, “I ask you again, does God give you the Holy Spirit and work miracles among you because you obey the law? Of course not! It is because you believe the message you heard about Christ.” By the righteousness that comes from obeying the Law, we can never receive anything from God, (Isa. 64:6). But because you have the righteousness of God, you can experience the glory and supernatural power of God in your life. You can also manifest it. You need righteousness consciousness to manifest the gifts of the Spirit.
 
Faith Declaration:
 
God has made me righteous. I am qualified to experience and manifest the supernatural. My faith is in Christ alone.
