PRAY AND GO THROUGH IT

Luke 22:41-44
“And he was withdrawn from them about a stone’s cast, and kneeled down, and prayed, Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done. And there appeared an angel unto him from heaven, strengthening him. And being in an agony he prayed more earnestly: and his sweat was as it were great drops of blood falling down to the ground.”

Prayer doesn’t exempt us from trials; it is one of the major things that empowers us to go through it victoriously and successfully. The prayers of Jesus for Peter did not stop him from going through his trial. It stopped the trial from crippling and consuming his faith, (Luke 22:31-32). The situation did not prevail over him. There are things you have to go through to prepare and position yourself to fulfil God’s will for your life. Don’t give up.

Don’t be discouraged from praying because of how terrible or enormous the situation is. See that trial and challenges as an opportunity to pray even more. Come boldly to God’s throne of grace to obtain His mercy and find His grace to help in that time of need, (Heb.4:16). God is a very present help in times of trouble, (Psa.46:1). Don’t disconnect from your fellowship with God and other believers because of what you are going through. That is a ploy of the devil to isolate you so he can weaken your faith. Connect even more! God’s grace is sufficient for you.

The Bible says God will surely deliver us from our many afflictions (Psa.34:9), but it also says, “If any man is afflicted, let him pray,” (James 5:13a). As you pray, you will receive God’s strength, wisdom, and the supply of His Spirit that will lead to your victory, (Phil.1:19).

Thank God for the grace He has given you to go through tough times and overcome. Pray for His strength, wisdom and favour
