GOD WILL KEEP YOU FROM FALLING

JUDE 1:24 (KJV, GNB, TPT) Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy, *To him who is able to keep you from falling and to bring you faultless and joyful before his glorious presence— *Now, to the one with enough power to prevent you from stumbling into sin and bring you faultless before his glorious presence to stand before him with ecstatic delight,

Jesus is the author and finisher of your faith, (Heb.12:2). The Passion Translation says He birthed faith within us, and He leads us forward into faith’s perfection. He is the source and sustainer of our faith. As long as you keep your faith in Jesus, He will keep you from falling. “And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled in the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight: if ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel…, (Col. 1:21-23).

As Peter walked on water towards Jesus, he began to sink when he took his eyes off Jesus and began to focus on the wind and waves. When he called out to Jesus for help, Jesus reached out His hand and saved him, (Matt. 14:28-31). Just as God keeps you in perfect peace, when you fix your mind on Him/trust Him (Isa.26:3), Jesus will keep you from falling as you keep your faith in Him. When Paul said to let him that thinks he is standing take heed lest he falls (1 Cor.10:12), he was saying don’t become proud because you think you are standing by your efforts. Pride leads to a fall (Prov. 16:18). Remember how Peter boasted when Jesus told him he would be tested? (Luke 22:31-34). Keep your faith in Jesus. Don’t become proud and careless. Remain humble trusting Jesus.

DEAR FATHER, I THANK YOU FOR YOU ARE THE SOURCE AND SUSTAINER OF MY FAITH. THANK YOU FOR UPHOLDING ME AND KEEPING ME FROM FALLING.
