EXERCISE YOUR FAITH FOR THE LIVES OF OTHERS

Luke 5:17-20

…as he was teaching, the power of the Lord was present to heal them. And, behold, men brought in a bed a man which was taken with a palsy: …And when they could not find by what way they might bring him in because of the multitude, they went upon the housetop, and let him down through the tiling … And when he saw their faith, he said unto him, Man, thy sins are forgiven thee.

Your faith in Christ is so powerful that just as you can exercise it for yourself, you can also exercise it for others, and those you are believing God for, will experience the miraculous power of God in their lives. In our text above, Jesus did not heal the sick man because of his faith. The Bible declares that Jesus saw the faith of his friends and then Jesus healed him. The Syrophenician woman exercised faith in Christ for her daughter (Mark 7:24-30) and the centurion exercised his faith in Christ for one of his servants (Matt. 8:5-13); someone who wasn’t even related to him. The Bible says, “Through faith, women received their dead relatives raised back to life….” (Heb. 11:35, GNB). By your faith in Christ, you too are going to experience the life and power of God manifesting in the lives of others.

Pray for others. It is one of the ways we release the love of God in our hearts unto others. Pray and believe God for their salvation, miracles and His divine intervention in their lives. Pray for all men, all leaders (1 Tim.2:1-4), and for all believers (Eph.6:18). Exercise faith for your children, your spouse, friends and even for strangers and God will honour your faith. Like the four friends in our text above, do not give up on others. Go all out to express radical faith to see that the lives of others experience God’s love and miraculous power.

Action Point:
As you are led by the Spirit, pray concerning the needs, salvation and transformation of the lives of others.
