Psalms 105:17-22 (LB) The he sent Joseph as a slave to Egypt to save his people from starvation. There in prison they hurt his feet with fetters and placed his neck in an iron collar until God’s time finally came-how God tested his patience! Then the king sent for him and set him free. He was put in charge of all the king’s possessions. At his pleasure he could imprison the King’s aides and teach the King’s advisors.
Listen to what God says to you: “At the time I have decided, my words will come true. You can trust what I say about the future. It may take a long time, but keep on waiting – it will happen!” Hab. 2:3 (CEV). Keep on doing what is right. Don’t lose hope. Anchor your hope on the love, promises and the faithfulness of God. Don’t give up and don’t cut yourself out of the process that God is taking you through. There are some tribulations and persecutions that will arise because of the word that God has sent and spoken over your life, Matt. 13:21. It is because of where God is taking you to that you are going through what you are going through right now – just like it happened to Joseph. It is the same thing that happened to Apostle Paul and even to Jesus. You are not cursed, there is nothing wrong with you and God is not punishing you.
You are going through a process that will perfect and prepare you for the plan and purpose of God for your life. Hebrews 2:10 reminds us that before Jesus could bring many sons to glory, he had to be made perfect through suffering. Hebrews 5:8-9 says, “Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered; And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him.” When Joseph arrived at the destination to which God was taking him, it was far bigger than the dream he had for himself. God has something far greater in His mind and in store for you; something that eyes have not seen, ears have not heard and minds have not imagined before, 1 Cor. 2:9. Trust Him and keep your focus on Him.
Prayer:
Dear Lord, I receive Your grace to keep my eyes on you and to keep doing what is right. Help me to endure the process.
