TOPIC: Transiting from being blessed to being a blessing

TEXT: 1 Peter 2:24, Mark 16: 17-1 8

KEY VERSE: Mark l6:17-18- “And these signs shall follow them that believe: ln my
name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall tate
up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay
hands on the sick, and they shall recover.”

INTRODUCTION: As believers, we are privileged to experience the blessings
of salvation and the power of Christ in our lives. However, our journey with Christ extends beyond receiving blessings for ourselves; we are called to transition from being blessed to being a blessing to others.

STUDY:

  1. Understanding the Blessings of Christ:
Jesus bore our sins in His body on the cross, enabling us to live unto righteoUsness and experience healing
through His stripes (1 Peter 2:24).
  • The blessings of salvation encompass forgiveness, healing, deliverance, and spiritual empowerment, all of which are freely given to those who believe in Jesus.
  1. Empowerment for Ministry: Jesus not only blessed us with salvation but also empowered us to minister in His name (Mark l6:17-18). Believers are entrusted with the authority to cast out demons, speak in tongues, handle serpents, drink poison without harm, and lay hands on the sick for their
    recovery.
  2. Transitioning to Being a Blessing:
Transitioning from being blessed to being a blessing involves recognizing that the same power that works in us
is available to minister to others.
  3. Growing in the Revelation of Christ:
  • The key to transitioning to being a blessing is to grow in the revelation of Christ within us (2 Corinthians 3:18). By allowing the revelation of Christ to dwell richly in Us, we become vessels through which His love, power, and
    blessings flow to others.

CONCLUSION:
As believers, we are called to move beyond receiving blessings for ourselves and embrace our role as vessels of God’s arace and power. Just as Jesus empowered His disciples to minister in His name, we are commissioned to share His blessings with others.
